This guy needs something more than just punishment, he needs some humiliation to make it something to remember. So, that's how he finds himself on top of the apparatus on his back with his legs up and exposed to the world. The cane has a large target area including that spot at the top of the leg where it really stings a lot. The look of discomfort is beyond any pain he might feel from the caning, a perfect result.
